Unauthorized $400 charge Englewood

Here's the deal. I was off work for a while and let my dishnetwork account lapse. No big deal right?

In another week I was going to have this turned back on and get the bill current, again, shouldn't have been any problem.

As a truck driver, I got home the day before Thanksgiving. I checked my checking account online and dishnetwork charged my checking account $400 for not returning the equipment.

Nobody called to ask about returning the stuff, and like I said, I was planning on keeping it.

The UNAUTHORIZED charge put me in a negative balance and also hit me with 2 overdraft charges.

The same day the charge came out, a box showed up at my house to return their equipment. This is totally uncalled for and the only thing Dishnetwork could say was "we apologize, when we get the stuff back, we'll refund your money minus the overdraft charges".

These people act like I was trying to keep the receiver hostage or something. All they had to do was call and ask if I was going to reinstate service or cancel and return the items. NONE OF THIS HAPPENED.

Needless to say, my Family had a long Holiday weekend with ZERO money because of this company. Thankfully we already had dinner supplies bought or else we would have went food less as well.

Policies and actions like this are why myself and hopefully many others boycott and/or cancel this companies services. I for one will NEVER, EVER deal with them again.
