Best Buy gives Boiler Room Service, Women Not Welcome or Given Equal Service ripoff

I thought it was just me, I first went to Best Buy to buy many things for college, I had spent thousands of dollars in that store for my dorm room years ago in college. This was when they were on Whipple Ave in Canton, Ohio near Belden Village Mall.

When I was about to graduate I decided to get a stereo in my car and they always sent me flyers in the mail and I took one of the offers in there. I pulled around to the back according to the arrows the entrance was an installation drive up in back and a young Buck with pimples and fried hair looked not to happy to see me, no smile or greeting or anything, he barely looked me in the eye.

I asked him about installation the various options and prices.in a dry 'get the heck outta here you are no real customer to me' voice he said "well you need to schedule and have us look at it we can't just determine that right off the bat (Even thought the ad mentioned some installation prices, right off the bat). Then I paused, waiting for him say anything, something! Like, we have openings this day or what type are you looking for. But nothing! He coldly turned his back to me and starting fondling items in the window.

I even closed the conversation by saying ok, goodbye, when it was his job to close the conversation. I don't remember exactly, but his closing, if he even closed, was equally weird and distant.

In the movie The Boiler Room with Nia Long they have a line called "Don't pitch the Bi*ch!" Which means don't sell stock shares to women no matter how much money they have as they are too whiny and stupid. I think the installation department in Best Buy has this problem.

My friend told me a few months ago she had a stereo put in her car at that same stores new location on The Strip (thanks to all the money women have spent at their store over the years!). She scheduled a week in advance, showed up, and they asked her why she was there, they said 'oh really, who scheduled you.' As if you really ask the person's name who scheduled you. I always schedule without asking as most companies DELIVER and they shouldn't be answering the phone if they can't deliver. So the young Bucks with more fried hair said 'uuuh, let me check on this.'

So they disappear and again, no apology for losing her schedule, and come back saying, "Ma'am (bi*ch), it will be an hour (hope you leave by then) before we can see you" with no explanation why or if there was an equipment breakdown.

Then one french fry came out only 20 minutes later, asking her why she was there! She reminded them she was the stranger there to get the stereo. Looking embarrassed and pink faced upset that she was still sitting in such a manly department like electronics and said 'you don't have to sit here, you can shop around' and not in a friendly tone either as if they were scatting away a cat. Nevermind she was not THERE to shop, she was THERE for installation and her toddler was tired and they wanted a seat. She said 'no thanks, I'm sitting.' And again they did not thank her for waiting.

Then another hour goes by and she walked out and went to HH Gregg located near Best Buy's former location on Whipple only 5 minutes away, and they greeted and rushed over when she walked in the door and she got her car installed the same day. I guess HH Gregg DOES pitch the Bitch!
