I went to Best Buy to shop for a stereo (Head-Unit) for my car and found a decent deal. It came with free same-day installation. They were too busy to put it on the same day, so I waited about 6 weeks because that was the only convenient time for me. When I got there the technician took my factory head unit out of the car and looked at my setup.

He then proceded to try to charge me a $40 fee to connect an RCA wire to the new head unit, so i said that I would do it myself. Then he tried to charge me $60 because he said they had to bypass an amplifier in my car, which was B.S. I noticed that he also tried to charge me a $50 installation fee. I bought my head-unit as a free installation promotion (I don't know when they haven't offered a free installation). He said that I had to show proof of this. I showed him my reciept and he said it needed a promotion code or he would charge me the $50.

I then asked to speak to his manager and had to walk all the way around to the front of the store and wait 15 minutes for a manager. I asked the manager to look up the promotions so that it would show that my head unit had free installation. He said that he didn't have time for that, and to either get it installed or leave his store. I said "Sir, the ad said free installation and they told me that it had a free installation, when I bought it. I want what you said you would give me or my money back" then he said "you can't get your money back it's been over 30 days." Without raising my voice or saying it so that customers could hear me, i said "I bought it here, because of the free installation, this is Bull Sh*t" "You don't talk to me like that in my store. Get out of my store!".

I left and walked all the way around to the back of the store, where my car was. When I got back in my car my factory stereo no longer worked. The technician had messed something up. When I walked up to the technician to ask him to take a look at it, the manager walked up. Before I said a thing he told me to get the f*ck off of his property or he was calling the police. I told him that they had messed up my head unit and he said "We didn't touch your car. Get off my property or I'll have you arrested." I left.

He was a lit cannon. It's so amazing how angry he got over something so rediculous. It was hard to believe and almost funny. I then decided that Best Buy didn't provide quite the customer service I was expecting. I went somewhere else (a competitior) where I saved money and didn't have to deal with a crazy psycho manager.
