Extremely bad service and then they want to charge me $120 just to cancel the service

Beware of Vonage.com phone service. I had service with them for two months. The first month everything was ok. There were a couple quirks that I got used to. The second month I was dropping calls about every minute. I called the service technician three times and they said that they were experiencing technical issues and that they didn't know when they were going to have it fixed. Keep in mind this happened all month long between conversations.

I ended up not being able to fax at all and the phone service couldn't even hold a call. When I finally went to cancel the service. The company rep said that they were going to charge me a $40 disconnection fee and an $80 charge for the phone adapter that was given to me for free. When I said that I would glady return it in the original condition and with the original wrapping the woman blutly said that they do not want it back. If you are going to give something away how is it legal to charge for it in the end. Please if you read this make sure that you do not get involved with these people. Buyer Beware...
