RIPOFF Sent a broken phone and refused to replace it

I purchased a cell phone and plan for my grandaughter's birthday. After 4 days the phone would not come on, although it had not been dropped or otherwise damaged by my grandughter After 6 nights of VERY long phone calls and being passed around countless times I was told that the only option I have is to purchase a new phone from them or be charged an additional 200.00 for breaking my contract. I basically paid 234.00 for 4 days of cell phone service and now my grandaughter is ending up with a completely ruined birthday. Motorola is the maker of the phone and they also said that they won't repair or replace it although it supposedly came with a one year warranty AND I purchased insurance on the phone.
