And Motorola nextel ripoff

I purchase a nextel phone in march. I have had trouble with the battery staying charged ever since. This is the email that i send to several customer service people after not being able to get help locally.

I purchased the I836 and a two year plan on 3/21. The battery will not hold a charge for even a day and it has gotten worse of the last couple of months. I was traveling out of town and I had to stop and buy a car charger because the phone died after being charged all night.

I went to several stores and they tell me stuff like. You aren't charging it right you have to turn the phone off and charge it, which makes no sense and they ask me if I am sure that I have the connect plugged in all the way, like I am total moron. But I have been dealing with this since I got the phone.

I go to one store where I got the phone / They act like I have leprosy, tell me they can't help me there and they tell me I have to go to the service center across town. I get there and I am told that I have to call a 1-800 number for motorola.

Motorola informs me that the phone I just got march 21 has a battery and that the warranty on that battery expired may. And I will have to wait for a tag to send the battery to motorola and then I have to wait at least 14 days from when they receive the battery for them to send a battery to replace that one, and I have to show them proof that I purchased it when I did. So that means that I will be without a phone for probably a good month, or spend outta pocket money for a new battery that should have been put in my phone in the first place. NO ONE should have to go to all this trouble just to use one of your products.

Customer service should be ongoing once a purchase has been made, but I have found that it is almost an as is sale.

Needless to say, I am a very unsatisfied customer. What I would like to do is terminate my contract without being penalized with the cost to cancel it.

I would appreciate a response and a resolution to this problem..

Needless to say I have not receive any type of response at all. Not even sorry you are outta luck or anything.
