Ripoff Sold warranty which is useless

I bought a top of the line cell phone as well as an extended warranty on it. I was told if it breaks, bring it in and we'll give you a new one. She said "if your battery dies, bring it in and we'll replace it." A few months later the battery refused to hold a charge and I went in. After 20 minutes of go here, talk to them, no talk to them, I was told to call their 888 number. I made 3 attempts at the 888 number and never got anywhere.

On my 4th attempt I did speak to someone who said I need to go to the Sprint Store with my problem. I went to the Sprint store and found it was closed. Went back into the local Best Buy and spent another HOUR trying to get my $ back that i spent on the warranty with no success. It seems they have changed their warranty since I bought mine and they no longer take care of problems instore. I was given the 888 number again to call.

The department manager was Josh Luckey who did make the attempt to help. The store manager, Chad Adkins refused to help and sent me on my way. Best Buy Customer Care offered me a $20 gift card. I can honeslty say my time spent in the store is worth more than $20. My issue is, if they sell you a warranty and then don't honor it, I should get the $ back that you spent to buy it. It's a no brainer to me. Guess not. They did offer to prorate the warranty which is rediculous! They should honor their warranty or refund it. Do not buy warranties at Best Buy no matter how attractive they make them look. The salesmen must get some sort of kickback on each that they sell.
