Dryer drum cracked within a year, $300 repair quoted

We have had our Samsung Dryer one whole year in December. We bought it brand new with the washer set.

A few months back we noticed that the dryer was becoming louder than normal. After searching the dryer we noticed that there was a crack in the steam of the drum. Since then it has gotten bigger and starting to ruin our clothes.

We reached out to Samsung back in December to see about a warranty and a repair cost. They provided the amount of over $300!! That is ridiculous when this is a manufacturing issue not an owner issue.

I am so frustrated with Samsung. Their customer service is just a script getting read to you they have no empathy or a way to keep their loyal customers. We have a lot of electronics made by Samsung and never have any problems until we got a defective dryer that they refuse to fix on their behalf! Do not buy Samsung dryers!
