Oven repair policy undisclosed, part costs half the price

I bought an oven from Fakhroo in Bahrain and it needed to be fixed. They said they do not fix but they replace the part. The thing is, this is something I didn't know when I bought the oven, and they will charge almost half the price of a new oven for the part. My question to you folks: is this fair and just? I was never told what the deal was when I bought the oven. Is that fraud and misrepresentation?
