General Manager would not talk to us

Electronics and household app.

My wife and I went into a local best buy to purchase a product off the shelf, the employee that attempted to help us searched for the product for twenty minutes. After waiting twenty minutes the employee returned to tell us that speaker enclosure was NOT for sale and simply a display. I found this odd and asked to speak with the mananger and the employee informs me he will tell you the same thing. I left the store. The following day I go to a second Best Buy and located the information on the product but the do not have the product in stock. The employee is kind enough to look up the information and located an available one at the previous store. We go back to the orginal store only to get the run around again, the employee told he could not find product any where in the system. I ask if I could purchase the floor model since they werent even able to locate a SKU to sell it. The employee told me "NO!" and i request to speak with the manager. The GENERAL MANAGER comes over and whispers something to the employee and walks away. At this point I am furious and begin to put back the items when approached a geek squad memeber. The geek squad memeber senses my frustation and actaully located the product that several others told me did not exist. I sent a message to best buy complaint folks and recieved a canned response that did not address my concerns. I copied and pasted the email string back to the best buy folks and have not heard back from since.
It amazed me that the general manager of the store could not spend thirty seconds with a potienal customer!!
