Overcharging for federal excise tax

Hasn't anyone noticed that t-mobile overcharges for the federal excise tax? I haven't been with the company long but due to all the taxes and surcharges I started researching all of them. According the the FCC and IRS, the tax should be 3% (. 03) of recurring monthly charges.

I figured it to be 3.05% (. 0305) on my bill. Also, I'm being charged this tax twice for the same phone line. It's charged to me for my initial $49.99 (which includes 2 lines) and then I'm charged again under the separate billing for each phone line. And yes, I'm possitive I'm charged twice. I can read quite well and I work in the bookkeeping industry so balancing and figuring numbers is my job.

It's only pennies, but if they're doing this to ALL of their customers&THIS IS HUGE. After I file the complaint with the IRS, I'll post what happens.

I would like to know if this billing practice is happening everywhere or just in my area.
