Online order canceled without notice

I ordered the Imaginarium Play Away Activity Walker for my son on 12/17. The standard shipping said it would be at my house by 12/26, so I figured it could be a late Christmas gift for my 11 month old son. It was advertised for $15.99 so I ordered it right away.

Almost immediately I received an email telling me that there was an unexpected delay in the shipment, that I would get an email with tracking info as soon as it was shipped, and that this was NOT a cancellation email.

The charge was pending in my bank account, so I figured it would be sent soon. Over two weeks later I had heard nothing from them. I called and was told that the item was out of stock so they canceled my order. I told them that their website said it was in stock right now. They told me that when I ordered it on sale, they ran out, and now it is only in stock for the full price so my order was canceled.

I never got a cancellation email or anything from them, I think that's pretty crappy service. Thanks a lot, Toys R Us!
