Ripoff, rude, uncooperative, unproffessional, innaccurate, damaged my credit, scam artists

Out of the blue one day a collection agency named Palisades contacte me claiming that i owed them money form a previously settled acocunt with Providian. The account balance was supposedly almost $700. They didn't give me any details on the hostory of this account: when it was supposedly "sold" to them or why it took over 2 years to contact me after i settled the original account in the first place.

My lawyer made an attempt to contact them and of course they blew him off, didn't respond to his voicemail messages or letters.

This company is bogus and they have severely damaged my credit as i have been in the middle of trying to get it back on track. Only recently after i have persistantly called day after day did i finally get some resolution, and barely.

I suggest for anyone that should be contacted by this company to investigate it right away.
