Questia
Charged me for what was advertised as a free trial subscription

Education & Science

Questia offers a FREE Trial subscription so you can try their service. Subscription cost are paid on a monthly basis. When you sign up for the free trial they take credit card information and you are informed that you will have to cancel or you will be charged for an ongoing subscription. When I called to inquire why I was charged immediately, I was notified that the TRIAL PERIOD is only 24 Hours. The rude customer service representative claims this is stated in the terms and conditions and that I overlooked it. Upon reviewing the T&C again, the duration of the free trial is not specified. They are outright thieves. They lead customers to believe there is a 30 day trial and since it is non refundable by the time this is cancelled, you are already scammed.

Furthermore, they database had very limited information so it was useless anyway.
