Billed me for 3 months of childcare I did not receive, then reported me to collection agency when I refused to pay

Unfortunately Happy Times took good care of my three kids for over 3 years. The teachers there are good. The director is a money-hungry con artist, don't be fooled. Read the fine print of your contract carefully or she will bleed you for all she can. If you move / move on after March, she will charge you until the end of August. Yup! 6 months she isn't caring for your kids you will have to pay for, even if you give 60 days notice like I did.

She refused to settle with me. She reported me to a collection agency. I won't be bullied by her, and can take the hit hoping it will deter her in the future. Now it will be on my report for 7 years. I am a physician and a responsible citizen. I am pretty well-educated, but yet she took me to the cleaners.

Unless you have money to burn, there are other good preschools out there. Use them!
