Liars, failed to fullfill promise - AVOID THESE UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS LIARS!

I've been a customer of Dishnetwork for over 8 years. While I've never been 100% thrilled with the programming and/or selection, I mainly have it for my family as I seldom ever watch anything on television. Recently, DirectTV started a new subscriber campaign in my neighborhood, offering the same programming or better selection for less money.

I immediately called the customer service department for dishnetwork and asked if they could offer me something along the same rates, i.E., how about offering me, a long time customer, the same rate they offered their new customers.

After much haggling over the phone, their customer service rep came back after "talking to my supervisor" and "the best I can offer you is Americans top 200 for 37.99, $10 dollars off for the rest of the year. While thats not as cheap as DirectTV (32.99 advertised price), I was willing to accept it and just stay with them.
This week, I get a bill in the mail, threatening disconnect unless I pay 84.19; 66.19 previous balance, 47.99 current charges, and $5.00 "adjustments".. Whatever that means.

I immediately called their customer service center, spoke to someone by the name of "Shea" and she was totally useless. I was given the usual hem and haw about the bills late, give me your creditcard, lets get this cleared up before your service is interrupted, yada yada.

I asked about the discount I was promised and while she could read the notes the other rep put in my account, and acknowledged it was offered and promised, she claims that rep had no authority to offer it to me and therefore they would not honor the offer.

Needless to say, I paid what I felt was owed (online) and will be leaving them at the end of the year.

Is there ANYONE reading this that is willing to file a class action lawsuit against these liars? With all the claims made against them, how are they allowed to stay in business?
