Fortune Financial
Tried to rip me off vancouver

Education & Science

I came home like every day and opened the mail. I found a letter stating that I won the some of $70,000. But to my knowledge I haven't signed up for any sweepstakes.

The next morning I called. Someone answered, but didn't say anything.in the back ground I could hear a television and heavy breathing. I hung up the phone, because i thought I had the wrong number. Later that morning I tried the number again.

To my surprise someone answered, a male. He said he worked for FORTUNE FINANCIAL. Supposable I needed to speak to Mrs. Lorna Davis. He put me on hold, but I could hear the television again in the background. I knew I had the right number earlier! I asked the lady once she got on the phone how she got my address and she tried to insist that it was given to her by PUBLISHING CLEARING HOUSE.

When I asked her for their number she told me to go to their website. I told her I will contact her again if what the letter was alleging was true. I then call the directory and got PUBLISHING CLEARING HOUSE's 1-800 number.

To my surprise the check was fraud.in all my years working at a bank I never came across a check that looked so althentice. Luckily I called PUBLISHING CLEARING HOUSE before depositing the check. With that said I am glad I checked all my resources before hand. Now I can help someone else by reporting this.
