I just wanted to comment on GSI Grants. I was at work one day and recieved a call from a woman. This woman stated that I was eligible also for a 6000 ollar grant. I chuckled but had to hear the pitch, so I sat on the line and listened to this woman bsically tell me she wanted my bank acct info. I then informed her that before I gave her any info I wanted her name, address, and telephone number. This woman proceeds to tell me her name is Jackie Smith in her very heavy accent, proceeds to give me a phone number and refuses an address, saying dont worry you wont need it.

Now please understand this is happening on my company work phone, and I am being solicited at my job. I ask miss Jackie if she could hold that I have another line to answer. She was more then willing to since she thought she was going to get my money. I placed her on hold and proceeded to dial the number she gave me, a number that led me to a recording of this same woman's voice telling me to hold the line that all reps are busy. I placed that line on hold and got back on the phone with Jackie and advised her that I couldn't talk since I was at work, she then said she would call me back in an hour. I said sure thats fine.

I got back on the other line to still be sitting on hold, I continued to hold on that line for about an hour more until miss Jackie called me back, wanted me to send her 298 dollars. When I informed her that I have been sitting on hold with her company for over an hour trying to get thru to speak with someone she said, well we are closed right now so you can't get thru, really I said, then I asked her well then how come your at work?

She didn't have an answer, I advised her I would have to think about giving out my info and call her back tomorrow, I then asked what her hours were, she told me and honestly right now I can't remember them, but I do know I called her back again the next day just to see if a live person would answer, and guess what did they?

Of course not just more prompts saying please hold and we are with other customers right now. Need lees to say miss Jackie called me again that day and I pretty much told her where she could go, then I found out from one of my employees and a client that they take your money and send you a box with papers, Hrmmmmmm, thats legit!

Anyways word of advice, do your homework ask questions don't let these scummy con artists take advantage of you. You are doing them a favor not the other way around. If it sounds to good to be true it is. Don't let these telemarketers and companies who have so much to offer ruin you financially. They get paid to do it, and you get paid nothing. If you want to apply for grants, buy Lesko's book for 30 bucks, and even if you still dont get free money at least you only lost 30 instead of 300!
