Ripoff

Received a phone call from this company, they told my fiance, after answering a few of their questions, that she qualified for a $6000 grant from the federal government. They asked if she was over the age of 18, if she lived in the Hbg area and if she had a checking account.

They then told her that she was qualified for the grant, she was told that there was a bunch of paperwork to do and that that is was a complicated process in order to do it on your own, if she gave them the $298 processing fee they would take care of the filing and the processing for her. She was skeptical and began asking for the name and address of the company, if they were members of the Better Business Bureau, if they could 100% guarantee the grant and that if she would ahve to pay the grant back.

The operator gave info about the grant, fiance was skeptical, operator asked for bank routing and account number. They asked for permission with your bank and the operator stated that it would be fraudulent to just take info with out permission. The op said she had to contact the bank before she could get the money out and let them know who they were before the could access. Fiance was transferred to another op who repeated all info and asked fiance if she comprehend what was going on and asked her to repeat her banking info. She was again transferred and the info was again repeated when she had questions. They said they weren't fraudulent because they weren't asking for SSN or any other form of ID. The money is to be taken out of her acct on Nov 18 within 3-4 weeks she would get info to sign and her grant would be released within 4-6 weeks.

She was given a customer service number and number to cancel the service and get a refund. She thought this was too good to be true. I goggled the co and found rip off reports on the co so I contacted my local news and police I also filed reports with the state attorney general and the FBI.
