By abusing their power and varying regulations so buildings were built illegally they delayed building progress and allowed buildings to be constructed and then applied retrospective penalties inflated and unrealistic Thus inherent delays and financial restraints prevented habitation licences being issued that resulted in those properties being sold to pay fines and not supplied to their rightful owners. Constant disputes with national regulations and planning directives as the non ruling party and conflict with Ankara planning directives caused all delays and financial penalties to be incurred by developers and construction firms.

The Major of this corrupt council has already been prosecuted by his own government but a sham of a trial and a sham of an excuse as why he was paid lump sums leaves him still in power to run a council that is now famous in its own country for corruption.
