Kenmore Elite Oasis Washer Frozen Agitator Repair Cost $600

We purchased a Kenmore Elite Oasis washing machine 3 yrs ago for $750.00. The service person was informative, frozen agitator; repairs would have been $600.00 or more. If Sears would spend a portion of its resources in product development/durability instead of on what the customers think of their services both would be better. I am looking for better products that actually performs its function. In the past Kenmore had the reputation of quality, could be easily maintained & fixed, not any more.
