I too have had a very disappointing experience with Samsung. They do not stand by their products. My screen is intact and the plasma behind the screen is cracked. Samsung sent a contractor to examine and repair. Their contractor said that it overheated causing the crack. I have been in touch with their "Executive Customer Relations Dept" who advised me their panel determined it was physical damage which is not within warranty. However, this "panel" never came to examine but relied on pictures I sent. And, they disregarded their own expert's physical examination of the TV. To add insult to injury, Samsung customer service did not call me to discuss their decision, but rather had a different contractor call to state the company was not standing by their warranty. This is truly disturbing since I was home when the TV overheated and turned off. There was no physical damage done to it. Very disturbing.
