Pat's Small Engine Plug/Pat Duncanson
I was sold an elecrtric lawn mower PTO clutch assembly without receiving information during the ordering process that the mfg of the mower had to install the PTO in order for there to be any warranty

I am a retired aircraft mechanic with BSIT degree, and have the knowledge to install a replacement mower PTO. I purchased a new PTO unit from Pat's website on 04/24, and installed it according to the STENS instruction sheet that came with the part. Within less than 8 hours of mowing, the upper bearing failed. My e-mails to Pat's facility were never answered.

I mailed photo's of the original PTO and his replacement, and the replacement was much shorter. With no answers coming from his office, I shipped the broken purchased PTO back to him. Still I have not received any information from his office staff.in viewing his website, I found he had written that this PTO had to be installed by the mower mfg's servicing department in order for any factory warranty would be valid. Now who in there right mind would purchase an aftermarket part, and then have the mfg dealer install it for a very expensive labor charge when the mower could have been just delivered to the dealer and had a factory part installed fully warranteed. Viewing Pat's Warranty information, he does not stand behind anything he sells. I would hesitated to suggest anyone ordering from this outfit.

In reading the fine print, Pat can do what he wants if a part is shipped back. Do nothing, or ship it to the mfg who will deal with the problem which may take 6 weeks for answer. Anyone wanting to guess how high the field grass will grown on 2.6 acres of land in 6 weeks without being mowed?
