Suncast BMS1500 Cabinet Swapped for Rubbermaid 3749 at Pickup

While shopping online for an outdoor storage cabinet, I came across a Suncast, model # BMS1500, with Home Depot named as the seller. On the Home Depot website the item appeared with a picture and customer reviews. I could order it online and collect it at the store, and I could even confirm that my nearby store had 3 in stock. When I got to the store to collect it, I was surprised to be handed a Rubbermaid model 3749.
Suncast told me, when I contacted them, that Home Depot does not carry their product in the West and that the Rubbermaid unit uses the same SKU.
The BMS 1500 listing at Home Depot does include a remark that the product can differ depending on the store, but that is a weak warning that the photo and item number on screen and on your order may not match what you receive. It may not even come from the same manufacturer.
Once I checked the stock at my local store, I should have been told right then that the Suncast BMS1500 could not be had there. Instead I made a trip for nothing.
