American Home Shield (AHS) ripoff, wouldn't pay for repairs. Carroll, IA

This company is bad news. They find ways of not covering items. I purchased a 5 months ago. I got a warranty to cover the basic thing and also the air conditioner. I used my a/c the other day and it was blowing cool air not really cold. It was only the second time I used it. I thought It should be cooler so I contacted AHS (American Home Shield).

They told me a air conditioner company would contact me.
They did and told me a 45.00 fee would need to be paid to them when they arrived.

I paid them and he looked at the a/c and asked me when I cleaned it last. I told him I just brought the 5 months ago and that I just used it twice and I noticed in this heat that it wasn't getting cold anymore. He looked at it and said the coils weren't clean and they were dirty and it burned out the compressor. I said whats next he said he would tell the insurance company and they will call me.

Well they did and said it was burned out due to the service wasn't maintained. I said everything worked and now it doesn't and I had no idea if it was serviced and cleaned or not on a regular basis as I didn't own the before. They said the warranty says it has to be maintened and it wasn't so we won't pay for any repairs. I even took this to the supervisor and he said there was nothing he could do. If one reads the smallprint in the warranty they can get of paying about everything.
As I said too they pick the companies that come out to you.
Beware of this Company!!!
