American Home Shield, home warranty to cover appliances and etc.in your home

A representative from Home Shield added my refrigerator to my existing home warrenty when I bought a new refrigerator. I was told to send in the receipt which I did and to send an additional payment. I then found out that the refrigerator was alreay covered under another warrenty and called Home Shield again about it and the representative from Home Shield said the transaction would be reversed and my money refunded. The person never reversed the transaction or refunded the money.

Then today I called again about not receiving it and got the run-around and was told that whoever told me that information was wrong and I would not get the money refunded! Apparently, American Home Shield sells you a product you don't need then lie to you about cancelling the transaction.

I am reporting them to the BBB also. If you have dealings with American Home Shield of Texas, you might want to shop around for another company. They will talk you into buying products that you do not need and then when you discover you never needed the coverage and call to cancel, they give you the run-around and don't tell you the truth. This is a shame, for I thought that they were a good company.
