My fridge is running hot at the divider, so I arranged a service through my prepaid Master Protection Agreement for between 8:00 and noon.
The "repair?" man call this morning and we have this (much abbreviated) exchange: Sears: "Is this a maintenance or a repair appointment?"
Me: How do I know - I said it is hot in the middle when I made the appointment.
Sears: Is it maintenance or repair - I only do maintenance?
= repeated a few times =
He then says he is not coming if it is a repair.
I call Sears and they arrange to send a repair man out between 1:00 and 5:00 estimated 1:40. Now my whole day is shot.
At 3:30 I start calling asking when will he be here?
They promise to call back but never do.
I call the special complaints number I found here. Finally a nice lady with some common sense and initiative. Unfortunately, after many minutes she is unable to even get the depot to pick up their phone.
It is now 4:50 and I am still waiting for both the repair man and a returned phone call!
