Posey's Furniture
Ripoff warning - BEWARE! Will not stand behind their products!

When we moved to Florence, we visited Posey's Furniture to buy a sofa, occasional tables and a dining room table. We found what we were looking for, around $2500 worth and had it delivered.

Almost immediately, the dining room chairs started to flake off (they were black in color). The situation got so bad that whenever someone sat in the chairs, black paint chips came off on their clothing.

I contacted Posey's and they said it would take about a week for someone to come out and inspect the chairs. After a couple of weeks, finally someone came by and brought a bottle of black paint with a brush attached for us to "touch-up" the damage (which amounted to about 100 areas of flaking paint. When I told them the solution was unacceptable, they said more chairs would be ordered. After several months, after repeated phone calls, management changes, etc. They finally said the chairs were in the store.

I asked them if they were the same chairs (exactly) and they said yes. Since my wife and I both work, I told them we would leave the old chairs in the garage and they could then leave the new chairs.

When I came home, they had delivered cheap, spray painted chairs (the paint job is so bad, you can see the spots and drip marks - it looked like they sprayed them with about a dollars worth of spray paint from a can).

After all of this, they consider the matter closed. The chairs are a joke and are now falling apart.

Do not do business with this store. They are not at all interested in customer satisfaction. The furniture is cheap (but expensive) and the salespeople are arrogant.
