Purchased a home in November with a Nordyn heat pump in the home.in 2010 I had to replace the entire unit. A heat pump should last far longer than 4 years. The entire heating air system is poorl Nordyne Heat Pump Crap! Internet

I purchased a home in 2006 and by 2009 my heat pump compressor had quit and caused the entire system to fail. I lost all heat and air. The Heat Pump was brand new when the home was purchased as was the home. The fact that the system only lasted 3 years when it had been brand new and was serviced with new filters on a regular basis is totally unacceptable. The fact that this company has not recalled and replaced all of these furnaces is also unacceptable! They are impossible to find filters for as the measurements of the place where they fit are not standard and the one that they come with that is washable does not last longer than two months and marks up the tub or bath so bad that it cannot be cleaned during winter months. My parents had a heat pump of another brand in their home for 20 years... That is quality... The only thing they ever did was service it and have it checked for freon once per year. This is the kind of quality Nordyne should strive for not the crap that they are serving the public with now!
