JPG Enterprises Rip Off, Delays, Lies - They will cost you plenty if you deal with them

I have never dealt with such a disreputable company. I contracted to have them build a house in November. It was supposee to be completed (COed) in December. They put on a great show and even presented themselves as members in good standing with several organizations such as the BBB. I thought I had selected the right builder.
After several months, I inquired why there was nothing going on at the property. I was told that the building department in Port St. Lucie was extermely busy, but they should issue a permit in a few weeks. This went on for months. I finally called the building department to find out why it was taking so long to get a permit. They informed me that the permit application was not applied for until September 3 months before i was expecting to move in. Armed with this information I contacted Mr. George about the situation. Of course he began a fresh round of lies as to why the permit application was never sent and why his customer service department continued to lie to me. I later found out that he never paid some his subs contractors, so they refused to perforf services such as surveys that were needed to apply for a permit.
Once they got the permit the construction moved at a snails pace. It got so bad that I asked the bank to stop all progress payments. After several months they finally contacted me because they had not received payments they were expecting. I told them that I would not release payments until they could give me a schedule and I would stop payament if they didnt keep to it. You guessed it, as soon as they got payment, the schedule went out the window. Apparently the way they work is to do just enough to get a payment and then let the project sit until they need more money.
The house was finally completed in 2007. As with all new houses there are always some items that need to be corrected. The difference here is that Majestic Homes and Realty ignored all my calls. They would say that I needed to fax my isues. The next time they would say I needed to e-mail them. I was evident that they were done and would do nothing else. I finally gave up and took care of the punchlist myself, including hiring a plumber to take care of issues in the main bath.
I am still dealing with problems. I would never deal with Majestic Homes and Realty/JPG Enterprises or any organization associated with the George Family. I have communicated with several home owners that had the same or similar experiences with these people.
