I sold over $300,000 in sunrooms, decks and windows in 2005. Mark Four Enterprises, Bill Thiede, Jerry Leen and Marc Leen had been unable to obtain even one building permit for any of my customers as of the time I left the company.
See my reports under The Home Remodelers Group... Another dba of Mark Four Enterprises.
Anyway, one of my experiences that came to mind recently has to do with the "automatic lie response" of these people.
I had mentioned to my Division Manager, Kevin Spitzer, that a customer requested a copy of the plans for his deck. Kevin told me that one of his customers also asked for plans.
On my customer's plan, Denise Cabello and Andy Gemeindhart never so much as prepared an application for a permit, and the plans were utterly wrong. The materials specified in the drawing did not even conform to what was sold!
Kevin Spitzer told me that his customer's permit application was mailed... BUT TO THE WRONG TOWNSHIP...
The lie response I refer to above. Is... He says to me..."hopefully I can use the customer's wanting a copy of his drawings as an excuse for being late with the permit".
These guys automatically look to blame unrelated parties for their failures. Most slimy is Marc Leen's writing letters to all deck and sunroom customers to tell them that "their projects are delayed in zoning due to circumstances beyond our control".
When you don't know how to file a building permit application, blame the building department! Great strategy, huh?
