CDC - Colonial Development Company - SaL Lombardino - Bruce Jardine
Theft of service

My daughter, son in law and I contracted with CDC SaL lombardino and Bruce Jardine to add a level to our home. A contract for $55,000 was signed December.

Work began in January and proceeded fairly smoothly for approximately two months. NO red flags went up to explain what was ahead.in March Sal began complaining how his business was suffering because of the economy, and how a year ago he would not have taken on this job at the quoted price. I did have another quote with another company for only $1,000 more than CDC. We made the decision back in December to sign with CDC.

Part of the contract was having central air installed and week after week the sub contractor provided by CDC never showed. We would call Sal and very gliblyhe would say the sub contractor was lazy and he will find someone else. We eventually had to put back the window units. Week after week no HVAC. Another part of the contract was to have stone installed on part of the house. Again, no stone no Sal. I finally purchased the stone and Sal was to install. The stone was delivered (at my expense) and Sal was to have it installed. At this point Sal did have the HVAC compressor installed, but we still did not have vents in all the rooms. I callled each day 20 times, finally someone answered his cell phone and said Sal was hospitalized that morning with a burst appendix. That was on a Friday, Monday morning I received a text message from Sal saying he was in the hospital with an NG tube down his throat and he had a massive infection and would be out of work for six weeks. Of course I texted back not to worry, health is more important. I received approximately 8 texts from Sal that he was able to get someone to come in to finish the HVAC. The person who did the install let me know SAL WAS NEVER IN THE HOSPITAL AND HE NEVER INTENDED TO FINISH THE JOB. I tried to call sal as soon as I found out, but no answer. I texted him that I know the truth and be a man and call me to discuss this.instead he sent me threatening texts.

I have approximately $12,000 worth of work to complete that was in the contract and already paid for.
