Took My Money Did Part Of The Work And Then Abandoned The Job - Located In Chantilly - Job Was In Arlington, VA ripoff

I contracted with Stone Images for a stamped concrete driveway, stairs, and two walkways in August.

I dealt with Todd Clap, Dan Bennett and others from Stone Images.

They can and did the demolition and then did not show up again for several months.By Feb. 2006 they had finally completed the driveway but used cheap sealing techniques and pour a different color for my stairs and walkways. As of Jan. They stopped showing up and refused to return my phone calls. Mind you 90% of the job is paid when the pouring is complete so they had no incentive to come and finish the work.

I reported them to the better business bureau and they said the company is already under investigation. After a month of not returning my phone calls I decided to hire another contractor to finish the job.

This contractor said they had been doing several other jobs fixing problem with stone images contracts. They had to fixed work already done by Stone images as well as complete what they never showed back up for.

I also made the mistake of subcontracting landscape work through them and stair railing replacement. They never did any of that work either.
