Elite Construction Ltd-Marc Ritacco, Jason Weber Jason Weber took $20K and never came back to finish the job as contracted

We contracted Elite Construction LTD last April to replace our roof and porch to the tune of $17K. Total time estimate was 2 weeks. 1 month later my porch was still unfinished, and had to access my house by planks. Once roof torn off 1 month later, he said he had a materials messup and my metal wouldn;t be ready for 2 more weeks, meanwhile my house was left exposed the whole time. During the tearoff his unskilled laborers dumped over 400lbs of shingles onto my HVAC air handler unit, veritably ruining it. After 2 months the roof was finally on for the most part but my AC bills were now in doubled where they should have been cut in half. They aslo agreed to an emergency $3k bathroom remodel at this time, still unfinished to this day.

Once I began inspection the job I noticed that his drunk carpenters (I still have beer cans in my attic to prove it.) decided to drive 3 inch nails through 1/2inch OSB leaving approx 2 inches of nail sticking out into my attic, creating a hazard. They also tore ducting and made a complete mess of my attic. He also neglected to give us enough roof ridge vents for ventilation and his laborers covered the little vent he provided us completely over with tar paper. Edges left uncrimped and crooked.

After speaking with his crew members when they came to inform me that they were placing a lein on my house because Marc didn't pay them I discovered he was in over his head in debt to his vendors and many other customers. He assured me this was untrue and promised to come back out which I have yet to see him for over 8 months now. Any phone calls placed to him quickly escalated to physical threats against our person, leaving us little choice of recourse, considering Austin Muni law. Even lawyers said we would waste more trying to go after him than we had already given to him.
