I called this company in May for an estimate to replace my roof. Owner, Marc Ritacco, came to my home and gave me an estimate of $2500. I agreed to the terms and paid him $1500 a couple weeks later. They were suppose to replace my roof in w/in a couple days. They never showed up. I called and they had some excuse and promised to be out there w/in the week. Again, no show. This went on for a couple months. Then I started asking for my money back. He finally agreed, and even told me that if I had someone else come do my roof, he would not only refund my money, but pay the extra cost that I was sure to incur since roofing materials had gone up tremendously since he gave me my quote. As of yet, he still hasn't refunded my money, much less given more to cover the cost to have my roof replaced. I have heard every excuse in the book from them: Marc was in a wreck; Marc had to go to Dallas because his grandmother was deathly ill; Was someone elses fault in the company and they're no longer here; the roofing company hasn't refunded them my money yet so they can't refund me: the roofing company sent them a hot check so they still can't refund me. This company has given me every excuse they could think of. Nine months later, they're still making excuses. I am still out $1500 and no roof! Because prices have gone up so much, even if I can get my money back, I can't find someone to do my roof for the amount he quoted nine months ago. Last week, after apologizing profusely (AGAIN), the promised to have my roof replaced on or before today, Wednesday 04-08-09. Again, still no roof!!! He actually called & left a message last night saying they would need the other $1000 of the quoted price to order the shingles! I guess now he wants me to be out the total $2500 instead of $1500. I also want to WARN everyone&do not give this company ANY money up front to do your roof. They are scammers!!! (Less)
