Called A-1 to remove an old hot water heater install a hot water heater in my attic.

Two trucks and 3 employees arrived to examine the job. Said they would charge $309 to install. Then said the 19 inch water heater could not be installed because the new water heater would fit through the attic opening. Then they charged us $75 for telling us that couldn't do the job.in my estimation that service is excessive.

I bought a 19 3/4 inch water heater from Home Depot called another plumber. He and his teenage nephew removed the old water heater and installed the new one through the attic without a problem.
