Breach of Contract, failed to complete work paid for per contract. Ripoff

Santos Gil of GM Gil Construction, Inc. Is a dishonest, unethical, irresponsible person who breaches his contracts and leaves the job's half done. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY - HE IS A THEIF AND A LIAR!

I hired GM GIl Construction, Inc. (ie. Santos Gil) to construct a 2 bd / 2bth 2nd dwelling unit in Chula Vista, Ca. The contract we signed and agreed to was very specific and detailed exactly the work to be done and payment schedule based on completion of work.

After receiving most of the money (he asked for an advance and gave me a long song and dance about how he needed the money, dung the last phase of construction, he refused to complete the last part of the job ($20,000 worth of work not completed).

His brother, Cisco Gil, made an honest attempt to complete the job for his irresponsible brother, but in the end he too stopped returning my calls and left the job with about $10,000 worth of landscaping not done.

I will soon be contacting all autorities in the area, the BBB and will be this company to court. I recommend that this guy and this company not be trusted or given any business whatsoever.
