This is my opinion of Hinson Heating and Cooling and is a report from my point of view.

I had no heat in my home during the Christmas week and called this company to see if they could repair the heating unit. The technician came out and did not seem to know what to do concerning the repair he called his office several times to try and diagnose the problem and finally started guessing.

First he saw no spark from the igniter and recommended replacement, then saw a ground fault light on the control board and stated that the unit did not have a proper ground and to call the office when the recommended repairs were made to correct the ground and wiring problems.

The recommended electrical repairs were done and the office was called, leaving three messages on their answering machine with no response back. They called back after I received the invoice and I mentioned seeking legal counsel and that I was disputing the full invoice. They finally called back within a few hours with quite an attitude and threatened me with hearing from their attorney, of which I welcome his call.

The unit still did not work after the repairs were made and the company has the guts to invoice me for a repair not made. I would not recommend using this company for any Heating and Air Conditioning repairs as the technicians I saw seem to lacking in the ability to make proper repairs and start replacing parts in an attempt to correct the problem.in my opinion this is not proper troubleshooting and can only be categorized as shade tree mechanics and gives a bad name to the honest and trained technicians.

Be extremely wary of this firm before contacting them and be sure to get several quotes from other firms before work is started.
