Ripoff, unethical, lack of credibility, lack integrity

I had been thinking about buying a new lawnmower over the past year. I was on my way to the paint department and decided to browse the lawnmowers on display. The lawnmower I had been looking at had a signed that displayed there was a rebate and an extended year warranty with purchase.

The sales associate that was assisting me thought it was a good choice and reinforced the rebate. So, I decided to purchase the lawnmower since the price was reasonable less the rebate. The sales associate HANDED me the rebate form and the extended warranty form and directed me to the check out registers.

I was pleased with my purchase until I received a letter in the mail informing me that The product purchased did not qualify. But in case that I had any further questions there was a phone number provided.

You can imagine, after the latter, that I was not surprised when I tried to call the phone number, 1-866-805-7328, and I was hung up on. I called three times and the same thing happened. I even tried calling the number provided after the HomeDepotOpinion.com survey, 1-800-553-3199, and it hung up on me again!

So, three points that blatantly shows the lack of credibility & integrity of Home Depot:

-Home Depot's advertising/marketing signs are unethical.
-Home Depot's sales associates are unethical.
-Home Depot's customer service phone numbers are unethical.
