Ripoff Worst Sleeping Mattress EVER!

In 11/15/03, I bought a Sealy Posturepedic Mattress Set. For the first few months, it slept fine - then it gradually began to get worse and worse. My mattress began sagging and I began feeling coils and what felt to be a 2x4 in the middle of the bed. I began aching and having joint pain in the A.M. I had surgery in 8/04 and had to recover in my bed. My back pain got so bad that it took extra time to recover from my surgery. Up to this point in my life, I never experienced any kind of joint or back pain. The mattresses "limited warranty" should be better known as the excuse used to NOT stand behind your product. When I complained to Mattress Firm, I was told I would have to pay a $70 inspection fee for a third party inspector to come out and inspect the product (no, they can't send someone from their store - oh, but there was another way to get around this. You could deliver your mattress yourself to their warehouse in Roswell, GA - I live in Garner, NC, about a 6 hour driver). You get the fee returned if it turns out to be a real problem - but how do you know what the person is looking for. This is a real risk for a consumer, which is probably why Mattress Firm does it this way. Then even though my mattress was an absolute lemon, I was going to be responsible for a $49.99 delivery fee. I thought that was totally wrong and tried to work through the Better Business Bureau, which was more in the back pocket of Mattress Firm. They did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help. As a matter of fact, the BBB moved the report to a store in a bad area of Atlanta, where all Mattress Firm problems are moved. To someone shopping in Raleigh, they would never see that a problem existed with the store. After several months of fighting with Mattress Firm, I was finally able to get the inspection fee waived from the corporate office and the local store waived the delivery fee. I got a replacement mattress. GUESS WHAT! Several months later in I am in the exact situation with the mattress again. I sent my boyfriend this time to deal with them. Basically, I'm getting the same $70 inspection fee/$49.99 delivery charge - even though this is the SECOND LEMON I've had from them in 3 years. A now-regional manager with Mattress Firm promised to call my boyfriend back. He called once, left a message, never called again, and never left a callback number. Over the past few years, I have experienced unbelievable joint pain, which several doctors have not been truly able to diagnose. I have run up doctor bills, chiropractor bills, physical therapy bills - all with the Sealy PosturePedic Mattress sold by Mattress Firm. I don't recommend ANYONE buy from Mattress Firm because they do not stand behind their product and Sealy doesn't make a product worth a rabid dog sleeping on. Hopefully this will help someone escape the pain I've experienced the last few years.
