Ripoff poor workmanship, dishonest fraudulent business and billing practices

Salik plumbing low-bidded on their bid for a new construction residence. When it came time to install the septic system they increased the price by 50% without informing the builder or owner. Just faxed a bill for $2600 over the $5200 bid. They didn't go by the engineer's plan and utilized smaller effluent pipe than called for and overcharged grossly for the cost of that pipe and the field line pipe. Their plumbing was sub-par and many red tags were placed by the city inspectors for their poor work.

The day after they faxed their bill to us, they called asking for payment. When we said that we had some questions about the bill, they said they were going to file a mechanics lien. The next day we received notice that a lien had been filed. They told our builder that they already have to cases pending in court (another red flag) and that a third case wouldn't matter.
