Rip-off plumbers who don't know Jack about plumbing and will destroy your home

I hired A-1 plumbing to rod out a clogged pipe in my bathroom. I own a unit in an apartment/condo building. After he tracked mud through my new living room carpeting to get to the bathroom, he started his job. He cut a 2ft. X 3ft hole in the wall under the sink to get to the pipe where he beleived the problem was. He attempted to rod the pipe until he said it was the main drain. I asked him to stop right there, not feeling comfortable with his guess. I checked with other neighbors to see if they were having plumbing issues (to see if it was the main drain) and to no surprise, everyone said no. I hired another local plumbing company for a second opinion. They rodded out the pipe & within 10 minutes the job was done. They reported, the other so-called "plumber" pushed the rod the wrong way! A-1 charged me $275 which they would not return any money back. It cost me $100 to get the drywall repaired, another $50 to get the carpet cleaned and $150 for the 2nd plumber!
