Viv-Tam Warranty - HP mini 1000 Viv Tam edition

Bought Mini-1000 Viv-Tam s/n: CNU9275KC6, P/N: NN100AV with what was supposed to be a top of the line service contract advertised to include shipping, even accidental breakage (dropping etc) at the end of July. You replaced the faulty cord after we got tired of it, but that same week the screen literally fell loose from the body on the one side, bending some frame components. Your service people first tried to say it wasn't covered because it was dropped (an insult because it is still immaculate, NEVER dropped); then we were referred to stateside service personnel who first said we weren't covered by the warranty, then told us OUR PARTICULAR MODEL wasn't covered, that we should find the exception for our model somewhere in the fine print. If we wanted HP to repair, we had to forward $30 shipping and handling for each way, and then be without the computer for several weeks.
What kind of trash is this? Do you think the kind of purchaser for the Vivienne Tam doesn't care about quality, and won't be offended by your very misleading claims about top of the line warranty? Do you not realize we might also be in a position to influence purchasing for larger companies? My physician group is the primary group at three nursing homes (and have a few patients at a few others) that are steadily increasing computerization. Two of the three have HP—I will do what I can to be certain the third does not. If you don't care about the little guy, you also don't care about the big guy beyond your profits. Thankfully, there are other good companies out there. May you go the way of the Rambler, in spite of the 3 HP computers in my house.
(By the way, the person I paid to repair the Viv-Tam also had to tighten quite a few other loose screws, as though the computer assembly hadn't been completed. He had some VERY uncomplimentary things to say about recent goods and services from HP, and is at one of the leading computer sales and service companies for the central and southern Shenandoah Valley.)
