Ge washing machine

I bought my home 3 years ago that came with a brand new ge top loader washer. Last week my washer wasn't spinning and I recently had a repair man come take a look at it and it turns out the motor needs to be replaced at the estimated cost of $400. I am a single female and I wash about 1 load of laundry a week. I will not be recommending any ge products to my friends or family and will never purchase another ge product if this is the quality of your products.
