Glovecars.com Ripped us off! Stolen $200 deposit!

A month ago we were going to buy a white jeep liberty from Glove Cars in Gloversville. We gave them a $200.00 deposit on the vehicle. After reading up on bad review of the company we decided that purchasing a car with them was a bad idea. We called them 3 days after we gave the deposit to let them know we had changed our mind. They said they would send a check in the mail. A couple weeks later we still had not received the check, we called me and they gave us attitude on the phone that they had sent the check in the mail and that we should have it. We requested that they resend it. They said they would. 2 weeks later still no check. I called again to request to speak to the manager and the girl on the phone was snotty. I told her that we did not receive the check. She said " I don't know what to tell you but we sent the money out to you on April 2." I asked her to confirm what address she sent it to and she did not even have our zip code on file. She said she looked it up on line. I asked her if we could come pick the check up she said no. She then hung up the phone on me.

I spoke to them again on Monday they said we would have the check by this Wednesday. Wednesday came no check. We called the BBB. Then we called them back today to speak with a manager. That's when hey told us that they were keeping our money because they had received a fax from the BBB. They again hung up the phone on me again. I just want my $200.00 back. Please help! Also, I would like to mention that the reason we decided not to purchase the vehicle is because it had many things wrong with it. They showed us the vehicle with broken back window, broken sunroof, check engine lights on, dirty on the inside and strong engine rattle. When we inquired about why this was for sale in its current condition, they told us that's what we get for a buy here pay here. They said once they had our deposit that a mechanic would fix everything that we found wrong with it. I thought this was very sketchy but considering we were desperate for a vehicle we were going to I've them a chance. That's until we thought about it more and started researching them online and finding multiple bad reviews about their products and customer service.
