Miscellaneous

I purchased a 2001 Chrysler Sebring. Test drive showed ABS/Airbag/Check Engine lights were on and the horn did not work. I was told it would be fixed prior to purchase yet it was not. The check engine light was off and they had to replace sensors in the front for ABS, and put external horn on the steering wheel. Drove the car 1 day and it overheated before I made it 5 miles home. I took the car back and after 3 weeks it was returned to me. It ran for 1 1/2 weeks then the check engine light came back on and the car would not start. I called and visited the shop for 3 weeks and was given the run around about why they had not come to get the car. At this point I had this car over 30 days and still had the 30 day tags. I contacted the DMV only to be told that the vehicle was never registered in my name and that I would need to file a complaint with my local office. I did and found out the reason they had not registered the vehicle was because the had never had the vehicle legally inspected as they were required to do so by law. The DMV file charges and they had to appear in court. The vehicle would never have passed inspection with the check engine light on and the horn not working. I was told they could not get the car because they did not have a tow truck yet they buy cars from auction and tow them in on the back of the Honest Engine Hummer on a car dolly. After 6 months they finally use this vehicle to pick up the car after I had been told on numerous occassions they would get it back and refund my money. Two weeks ago to the day of this report I found out from the DMV that he registered the title of the vehicle in my name... I am working with the state DMV to pursue further charges.
