Sold me a car claiming clean certified carfax jan 6 month later reran carfax to see accident from 2009 and car has present frame damage

Ought a 2008 audi tt from ridesmart auto in jan. Dealer claims cars are clean carfax certified car (see his website). Transaction was pretty smooth it was the middle of a snow storm and i drove over an hour to see the car. Car was dirty snow and salt so i take some fault for not being able to do a full inspection.

But dealer showed me a carfax and this being my first used car in 7 years took it for what it is worth and his word all thing were great. It was my toy car so it didnt get driven much so in nov i decided to trade it for a pickup truck. The new car dealer ran car fax and it came up very diffrent from the dealers report i bought it from.

This time it shows milage discrepancies accident, and aug seller disclosure from auction he bought it from it has frame and structial damage present. I called ridesmart and he claimed carfax changed and with trade value at 23k to 26k on the car he offered me 18k. So with a lowball like that and a month or so of going back and forth with him i got a lawyer and files a suit.

The lawyers have been dealing with each other but the last time i spoke with joe at ride smart the owner, finance guy ect. I really dont know what his title is. He claimed he can beat the case if i sued him..

So hes being sued if anyone is looking to buy a used car buyer beware. Dont trust carfax do yourself a favor and have the car inspected good. And we all already know dont trust the deal..

Sadly this has turned me completely off of buying used from anyone but a major dealer, audi, vw, gm ect.
