Car Fax
I purchased a car in 2009 with a clean car fax report. I just went in to trade it and was informed that the new car dealer pulled a car fax and it stated the car had been in an accident 2 years prior Internet

I purchased a car in 2009 and was shown a clean car fax report from the dealer. I just went to trade the car in and was told that the car was in an accident. I told them I never had an accident. They showed me the new carfax report they had pulled up and it show an accident in October 2 years before I even purchased. When I called car fax they said that it wasn't reported to them until February.4 years after the accident and now the dealer only wants to give me 3k (first offered 8K). Everyone says there's nothing I can do. How am I the one to get screwed when I was relying on a reputable company that advertises how you have to have a carfax they show you everything, then when they don't they tell you to read the fine print. Sorry can't help you... IS there anything that can be done???
