Fraudulent quote for moving my vehicle across the USA

When I accepted a job in Wichita Falls, TX, I needed to have my pickup truck moved from Buffalo NY to WF, as I could not tow it behind the moving truck. I found AllUSA on the internet and requested a quote to move my truck. I rec'd a quote back for $845 TOTAL cost, with a $245 deposit. I contracted with them to do it. This was on Dec 28. I was told to have my truck ready on Dec 30 for pick up, and that it would arrive around Jan 3 in WF.

I got my truck ready and waited. I didn't get a call back. I had already paid the down payment. I called them on the 29th to make sure I had a time, and was told they were 'searching for someone to take my truck'. This was repeated to me over and over and over. When I got no answer mid-morning on the 30th (I was loading the truck on the 31st and leaving the 1st for my new job), I called. They were closed and I had no way of reaching anyone!

I left on the 1st and tried to reach them on the 2nd. No answer. I finally got a hold of someone on the 3rd. My truck was still in Buffalo. When I spoke to them, they told me that no one would take my truck for that little money (my remaining $600). I was a little taken aback. They had sent me a quote. Long story short, they finally got someone to pick up my truck but instead of me paying the truck drive $600, I had to pay him $950. He delivered my truck on Jan 10, one whole week after they promised me it would be in WF for me to use! My total bill, instead of being $845, was $1195.

I was treated rudely when I called as if it was MY fault that they had lowballed me, and was told that if I cancelled I would not only lose my deposit but would be on the hook for the entire $845. This company is as slimy as they come, and I want them to pay for the excess charges that I had to pay. I have never dealt with as dishonest a company as this one, and I have spent 20 some years in purchasing!
