Account Paid in Full Still Reported as Owing One Dollar

After BP Oil Company reported me to a credit recovery agency, the account was paid in full according to the amount the recovery agency contacted me with. Recently I got a credit report and noticed that they have been damaging my credit further by reporting me for $1.00!

I have contacted BP regarding this, stating that the account has been paid in full according to the amount I was given. I have, of course, received no response. The account was opened before I married, so it is under my maiden name.

I included in the written letter that received no response the full name and the account number, in the hope of making it easy for them to find the pertinent information, since the account was opened in 1997.
